Top 3 Games For 2005 : PSP
| Developed by Sony to check the dominance of Nintendo in the very lucrative handheld market, the PSP has somewhat fizzled since it's high-profile launch, mostly due to the lack of quality titles. But its powerful multimedia capabilities have made it a must have item for gadget lovers worldwide. |
| #3 Virtua Tennis: World Tour Publisher: Sega | Developer: Sumo Digital | Genre: Sports | |
![]() | Ever since the days of Pong, gamers have known the tennis would make a fun video game, and Sega has proved it again with their award winning Virtua Tennis series, which has made its first appearance on the Sony Playstation Portable. Virtua Tennis: World Tour brought everything that was great about the previous Virtua Tennis franchise and stuffed it all into a great portable package. |
| #2 Wipeout Pure Publisher: SCEA | Developer: SCEE | Genre: Racing | |
![]() | We all knew that Wipeout was fast but who would have thought the game could go at these speeds on a handheld like the PSP. Sony really hit one out of the park with this game, as it contained the same great arcade racing qualities as before, and giving it an all-new feel on the PSP. Racing fans rejoice because racing glory has come to the PSP in the form of Wipeout Pure. |
| #1 Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Publisher: Rockstar Games | Developer: Rockstar Leeds | Genre: Action | |
![]() | It couldn't be a "Game of the Year" feature without Rockstar and the GTA series. Since I began doing these features, I have had a GTA game in the mix and Liberty City Stories continues this trend. Does this game provide a whole new sense of GTA? Well no, but what it does is take the winning formula, that at times can be quite controversial, and bring it beautifully to the PSP. By far the best game the PSP saw in 2005. |
Worthy Mentions: Lumines, SOCOM: US Navy Seals Firestorm Bravo
