Darkstation Spotlight: Tomb Raider

Darkstation Spotlight: Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider has been rebooted yet again and is taking the gritty more realistic approach this time around. I was really on the fence with this game up until its release and I still wasn't sure what to expect when I first booted it up. Everything about the game had pointed to the fact that it seemed very similar to Uncharted (which is really always been Tomb Raider's best comparison) but with a female protagonist. Well that wasn't a far off assumption but what we got is still a game that stands on its own and from what I've played so far it seems pretty fantastic. We will have a review up for the game soon but in the meantime I thought I would just sit down and play the game a little on video and let everyone see it for themselves because I truly believe that Tomb Raider is a game that you need to experience for yourself. Reading about it isn't enough.

I played around forty minutes of the beginning of the game and captured it to video to let you see a little of the story progression and the game's mechanics. There are still things introduced in the later game that isn't in the video but those are things you should play the game for. So for now, if you are curious about the game, I give you the opportunity to sit back and see it in action for yourself and let you decided if it's worth your time.
