Top 3 Xbox Games For 2004
Last year I really felt like the Xbox was struggling to really find a game to distinguish itself amongst the rest. The year of 2004 I must say that it was the year of the Xbox, as I believe it had the best year out of the three consoles. So picking the top three Xbox games of the year was probably the most difficult as there have been so many memorable titles.
| #3 Fable Publisher: Microsoft | Developer: Big Blue Box | Genre: RPG | |
![]() | We have been hearing about Fable for years now and it has promised us the moon plus some. This honestly was the game that was supposed to be above all other games, and for the most part it accomplished a lot of what it promised. Although it may not have been all that long the Gameplay in the game was just as addicting as any game I have played this year and all of the unlockable content and extra missions that you can do in the game could take several hours to complete. It may not have done all it promised but it did enough to be a great game. |
| #2 Ninja Gaiden Publisher: Tecmo | Developer: Team Ninja | Genre: Action | |
![]() | Sometimes I find it hard to pick the top three games of the year because some of the earlier games of the year. But you have to know if a game sticks with you throughout the year, then it must be great and thus is the case with Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden. What an amazing game this was, that had the best ninja action to hit the consoles. The gameplay was just extremely well-paced, adding plenty of strategy to a game that does offer plenty of action. I just found the game to be quite amazing, in how well it played and how fluid the ninja action was. The graphics in this game were equally as beautiful and just made for a breathtaking experience. |
| #1 Halo 2 Publisher: Microsoft | Developer: Bungie | Genre: FPS | |
![]() | The most anticipated game for the Xbox is also the best game for the Xbox this year and that is Halo 2. I really wasn't sure if this game was going to be able to pull off the glory that the original did, but it somehow surpassed it in every way possible. Halo 2 not only had an amazing single player, but the Xbox Live support for the game was the best the Live service has seen yet. The gameplay in the game has been improved but the overall formula of the game that has made it great is still intact and has made for a truly amazing game that will not be forgotten. The graphics of this game have been improved even more to easily be considered the best-looking Xbox game of the year. This is, hands down, the best game ever made for the Xbox. |
