2011 has been some year. With the actual usage of Kinect and Move, deaths of some companies and franchises, and to say the least rebirth of great games. We all have had to trudge through the crap, but around the holiday season we get to praise and compliment the games in which we love. Here is my Top 5 Games of the Year.
The indie darling that I can't shut the hell up about, and a decent 15 dollar download, won over my heart and mind for the whole year.
4. Dead Space 2
The startling sequel no one actually denied, this action horror game kept me up all night for weeks on end.
3. Portal 2
CAPTURE ALL THE SPHERE'S! Adventure, Wheatley, Space, Fact, and of course GlaDOS, who couldn't resist the mind boggling whit and puzzles from the beloved referential Valve joint? I will always love you, Weighted Companion Cube...<3
2. Batman: Arkham City
I. Love. Batman. When it's bad, it's still Batman. When it's good, it's BAT-MAN! Arkham Asylum was such an out of body experience that left an even better taste in your mouth, so high were undeniable. Then you play Arkham City. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I give up my life, my love, and then some to this amazingly broken game. Everyone else go home.
Honorable Mention: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
