Overview
JIRAIYA is a 3D action game which sees gamers taking control of Jiraiya the magical ninja. Jiraiya must defeat multiple opponents with his amazing ninjitsu skills and devastating moves.
The game supports two player simultaneous gaming which makes for great replay value.
The unique characters are designed by the famous Japanese artist Susumu Matsushita who is probably best known to Capcom fans as the man who designed Maximo and all the characters from the game of the same name. Matsushita san is also famed for his weekly designs on the front of Japanese computer games magazine 'Famitsu'.
Story
The story takes place in 'Jappon' where an over cautious Shogun holds power over the people. Jiraiya is a magical ninja who possesses awesome ninjitsu fighting techniques. He also carries the all powerful Sword of Ibuki and is able to summon magical beasts.
One day, Jiraiya receives a short and mysterious letter from his long lost parents. "Come see us," it says. Jiraiya now decides he must find his parents at all costs. However, it appears that an evil plot has been hatched by 'Ojamato' to prevent Jiraiya from reaching his parents.
Can Jiraiya save his parents? And what is the evil plot of Ojamato?
In the world full of magical ninjutsu and fantasy, Jiraiya's dramatic action adventure has begun!
Features
- Unique Characters!
Characters in this game can use unique summonable beasts and magical ninjutsu powers. Players can pull off devastating combos by utilising these features and even unlock new beasts by defeating boss characters. - 2 player simultaneous play !
A second player can the game at anytime. This includes simultaneous play by Jiraiya and his beast, and Jiraiya and his partner Kunihime. - Cooperation is Key!
The game's 'cooperation gauge' builds up by performing successful combos. When it has reached its max level, you can perform a powerful combo. Some of the cooperation special moves can inflict extensive damage to the opponent. Utilising this in times of intense danger can save Jiraiya's life. The combo attack will vary depending on which beast you are using. - Various Stages!
There are many varied stages in the game, including 'Flaming Oedo Castle' and 'The Ghost House'.
