Overview

This is by far the strongest point the game has to offer. The story is simple enough so that every one will be able to understand it. Even those who have never played a rpg and yet it keeps even those who live and breath RPGs happy.

The story begins as we meet young Alex while visiting the shrine of Dyne, Alex's favorite of the legendary four heroes when Nell, Alex's flying cat like creature informs him that he's late to meet his child hood friend Luna. Luna is one of the many characters you sure to fall in love with. My favorite of the bunch is Ramus and Kyle - they just make me laugh. The villains...hmmm...what can I say about the villains. How about this : the villains are the villains every game try's to create but only a few can. In other words by the end of the game you have a hate for them you didn't know you had in you and love for the good guy's you won't forget. Add many plot twists and you have a great story line one of the best.

Gameplay

Ahhhh...this is gameplay at it's best. You can have up to 5 characters in a party, which really allows for fun planning and strategy. Adding to the strategy of the battles, you can set all the characters positions before engaging in a battle. And random encounters are actually fun. And since you can see where all the monsters are you can avoid battle when you feel like it. If you willing to play dangerously you can set all the players on AI and let the computer handle the battles for you. The stronger you characters become the more HP and MP they earn, and the more AP they receive the more moves and spells they will learn. And of course you earn AP, MP and HP by wining battles.

Graphics

Well except for the anime cut scenes and the voice acting. The graphics look well they look only a tad better than SNES. But the anime cut scenes are beautiful stunning animation at it's best and the voice acting is the best I have ever heard. Not one voice feels out of place or mismatched not even for a second. I for one enjoy the simplistic look Lunar SSSC has to offer.

Fun Factor

Lunar SSSC is not only fun but it's funny this game will keep you laughing. The epilogue at the end is more fun than many other rpg give you for a ending. Although there's not as many side quests as other rpgs there are a few good one's.

Overall

This is a great refreshing change in pace from your other run of the mill rpgs. It truly is a classic one of the best I strongly urge anyone who doesn't mind less than stellar game play graphics to go out and find a copy of this game but you should call the store first because Lunar SSSC is no longer in production and may find it hard to get. I may self bought two so I could leave one unopened so good luck finding it. You can try checking on Ebay for it.
