As we near the end of the console cycle for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, studios and publishers have been ratcheting up production of AAA games, bringing us more big-budget games with each passing month than anyone could possibly hope to play.

It is crazy that 2018 has already come and gone. I feel like I haven’t had time to soak it all in but wow, what a year. I feel like I say that on all of these lists. Yep, I just checked and I pretty much say that each year. You’d think every year is amazing and life is always getting better by my GOTY lists and that’s not necessarily true.

I was not ready for the bombardment of masterpieces to come our way this year. 2018 has been a year to remember for game releases, with many of these titles I’m going to mention now being placed in my top games of all time.
