2018 Summer Backlog: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

Final Fantasy is one of my favorite series. I have cherished playing through most of the mainline games and their spinoffs. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is one of the few titles related to the core series that I hadn’t yet experienced, until now.

2018 Summer Backlog: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Luckily, when I finally got around to it, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice speaks for itself. Purely as a technical showcase, the game  is breathtaking - especially when taking into consideration just how small the team that worked on this was.

Darkstation Spotlight: Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider has been rebooted yet again and is taking the gritty more realistic approach this time around. I was really on the fence with this game up until its release and I still wasn't sure what to expect when I first booted it up. Everything about the game had pointed to the fact that it seemed very similar to Uncharted (which is really always been Tomb Raider's best comparison) but with a female protagonist.

If you haven’t read the previous articles in this series, you can do so here and here. PCs get a bad knock. A lot of people think that they’re on the way out because PC sales don’t match consoles. But PCs have never actually led the market in sales.
