Forza Motorsport 7 Review

With over 30 tracks, hundreds of impressively rendered cars, and a robust and option-rich single player campaign (not to mention endless single, one-off races), Forza 7 has to represent the current apex of the racing sim. While it isn't a decisive leap forward from Forza 6, neither is it a step back. The cars just get better looking, the handling more precise, and the overall experience more comprehensive and immersive. I can't wait to try it on the Xbox One X.

Burnout Crash!

With a strict focus on racking up high scores and being able to challenge friends and online players, there’s enough replayability on hand but after a few hours it all gets a bit stale. This isn’t the type of game you’d want to play for hours on end, lest the frantic nature of the gameplay, bright colors and terrible voice acting drive you mad. Burnout Crash is better served as a something to do when you have a few minutes to kill.

Burnout Dominator

The final product of Burnout Dominator just feels like it had so much more it could have done but wasn’t given the chance to. The odd absence of both online play and the crash mode does make the overall package less desirable. However, if you enjoy Burnout games of the past, you will continue to enjoy Burnout Dominator. Just don’t expect to play the best Burnout title.

Full Auto 2: Battlelines

So were you lucky enough to score a PS3 this holiday season? Well if you did, then I would recommend checking out Full Auto 2. I don’t necessarily think it’s a better game than Ridge Racer 7, however it still has a lot of enjoyable qualities that I think the lucky owners of the PS3 should take the time to check out.

Excite Truck

Excite Truck is a game that will be played mainly because it is a game that launched with the Wii. Had this game launched anywhere thereafter, it probably would have just been forgotten about and probably never talked about. So instead Excite Truck is a game that has some underlying elements that are pretty neat, but the overall game of Excite Truck just isn’t anything to write home about.

Need for Speed Carbon

Need for Speed Carbon is not so much a carbon copy of last year’s game, it is more of just an upgraded version with a new city and some new features. Is this a bad thing? No, not at all as fans of the series really already know what they are getting into, and if you have like it in the past you will definitely continue to like it in Need for Speed Carbon.

Test Drive: Unlimited

And to match this great experience you get a next generation "budget title" price of $39.99, which makes this game an even more enticing game to pick up. I would highly recommend anyone who enjoys racing games to think about picking this game up as it has just huge replay value. Although it’s not perfect, offers a great racing experience.

Ridge Racer 6

I have to say that I enjoyed Ridge Racer 6 and I found it to be fun, but in the long run it just never seemed to add up to a great racing game. It just seemed to miss a step with a lack of depth in the long run. For fans of the series, Ridge Racer 6 continues the great lineup of games, but unfortunately this is not a game that stands out on top in the launch lineup for the Xbox 360.

Burnout Revenge

Sure the game may not have a new feature that just amazes me, but it has the same great fundamentals of Burnout 3 and improves upon them and that is truly what makes Burnout Revenge a great game. If you enjoyed Burnout 3, then you really need to go down to your local electronic store and pick up a copy of Burnout Revenge, as it truly is a great game.

Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder!

Unless you really have to rent this game because you want to be a truck driver when you grow up I would say that spending twenty dollars on this game would be much to spend for this game. This game just really doesn’t have all that much to it and what it does have just really is not all that much fun.

Crash 'n' Burn

This is a game that does well for the price, but for a game in general is just average. It has some good sequences, some decent ones, and some bad ones. If you are a huge car racing fan and like seeing things blown up and are on a tight budget, this isn’t a bad budget game to pick up.

Midtown Madness 3

If you are looking for a light hearted racing title for your Xbox, look no further then Midtown Madness 3, an excellent arcade racer that combines a great single and multiplayer experience into one game. With the Live support you will be given an insane amount of replay value that will essentially give you an excellent arcade racing experience.

Burnout 2: Point of Impact

The only things that would make this game better would be more cars, greater customisation, more tracks and more to do. It seems like a lot but when you’re playing you really won’t think about the holes in the game. Just imagine if these cars were taken from real life and included real manufacturers. Unfortunately it’s never going to happen but I can dream, in-between races of course.

Rayman Arena

Rayman Arena really falls short in ever category. The uninspired track designs, the slow paced nature of the races and lack of gaming modes makes Rayman Arena an average title in every sense of the word. It really feels like the game was not fully completed, therefore I would only recommend this as a rental to only the die-hard Rayman fans.
