Zen Pinball 2: Women of Power Pack Review

All in all, though, the Women of Power pack are just fun, fast tables. They allow Zen to stretch a bit by setting up a small story arc, and provide something just a little different for the player then they are used to. Absolutely a worthy pick up if you are at all invested in the Zen Pinball platform.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

One thing is for sure, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a great looking game, and it is a game that in concept sounds impressive. However when the rubber hits the road it just manages an average at best experience that won’t change anyone’s mind about Spider-Man video games. Unless you are a diehard Spider-Man fan I would say there are better games to sink your time into this fall.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

There are a lot of holes that X-Men Origins: Wolverine would need to clean up in order to make this the top tier game it had the potential to be. With that being said fans of X-Men or of the movie should still check it out, this is a very competent action game that has enough variety that I think does warrant a sincere look.

Spider-Man 3

I hate to use the same line I have been using since first become a video game reviewer, but movie to video game adaptations have the highest tendency to over hype and under produce, and in the case of Spider-Man 3, that is exactly what happened. Spider-Man 3 is a game that has all the workings of being a great comic book video game, but the final product is deeply flawed and in need of some serious re-tooling.

Superman Returns

The age old problem that Superman games have had returns in this game and that is a lot of hype with not much to be happy with. The game has the mechanics down in the flying and running, but the combat and the game’s progression just isn’t up to par with where it needs to be. Fans of Superman will find a lot to enjoy at first, but once you get into the core of Superman Returns, disappointment is sure to set in.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Well, Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a fantastic game, but to get into the higher scores you have to go above and beyond that, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance just feels like a great game but not to that next level. If you are a fan of any sort of RPG and the Marvel universe, then there is no doubt in my mind that Marvel Ultimate Alliance is highly worth your time.

X-Men: Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

X-Men Legends II still has the same great team combat system and has enough variety and complexity in which you will find yourself really diving head first into a very enjoyable game. If you enjoyed the previous X-Men Legends game, then X-Men Legends II will not disappoint, just don’t expect a totally new experience.

Fantastic 4

For some reason this is one of those transitions that just hasn’t been perfected yet, and this game is a perfect example of the problems developers are facing when making these sorts of games. This game will be fun for fans of the series, and the movie, but I would highly recommend renting this game if your in this boat rather then buying it, as you can get everything this game has to offer out of a rental session.

Batman Begins

Batman Begins is a good game but nothing more then that. It has its fair share of problems that should have been taken care of in during development. If they do make another Batman game, I really hope they just go for a more simple open environment approach rather then this linear approach that we are given in this game. Overall if you are a fan of Batman you’re probably going to enjoy this game and if you’re not a fan you’re probably going to dislike it quite a bit.
