Golf Peaks Review

Golf Peaks is a great use of the idea of golf, with rule modifications that make it less a score-conscious sports simulation and instead an amazing puzzle game. I had a great time with it for the few hours that it took to get through all the puzzles, enjoying the challenge and calming ambience of it all.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour

When I look back on my week with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, I came away feeling like it was a launch title. It's missing the robust features and course set that video game golf enthusiasts have come to know. It has a lot of the mechanics down well enough but the game doesn’t have enough content to warrant the price tag. The career mode is bare bones and the course selection is dangerously low. Unless you just can’t do without a golf game this year, you’d be better off going purchasing a game from the Tiger Woods back catalog.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 is a good game of golf. The new controls will freshen things up a bit and of course there are modes up the wazoo to try out. Kinect support is included but after a few holes probably won’t get much in terms of playtime. I can’t say it’s an easy buy recommendation to make but if you have missed a few years of Tiger Woods games then this one is a good one to get back into.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is yet another solid outing for the franchise. This year did see more improvements then that of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 but still leaves a lot of room open to continue to improve. Obviously with the push for motion control I have a feeling we may be swinging our arms a little more in next years game. For those wondering if Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is worth the price of admission, I would say yes.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09

Chances are owners of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 will probably be more then happy just hanging onto that version of the game. The additions to this year’s game aren’t such that make you want to run out and buy the game. However if you have taken some time away from the series there is no reason why this years game isn’t a great point to come back in.

And of course the Photo Game face is not only a fun thing to do for yourself, but bring a friend over and show them the new technology and you instantly have an engrossed fan of the game as well - it is that impressive. If you are into Tiger Woods and have always wanted to see yourself in a video game, now is your chance with this title.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07

Although the graphics could have used an overhaul, the final product of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for the Nintendo Wii still offers up a fantastic golf package. Whether a casual golfer or a huge fan of the series, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for the Nintendo Wii should be checked out by those who happen to already own a Nintendo Wii.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005

Although there wasn’t any huge changes in this years version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour the ones that were made were good enough to create a game that has all the makings of a great game. For anyone looking to hit the links on their PS2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 is the way to go.

Links 2004

Links 2004 is a solid golfing title that I predict will catch up (and maybe overthrow) the Tiger Woods series next year. The game shows a lot of promise, and for those looking for an Online Golf title look no further then Links 2004, it will be sure to get the job done.

Outlaw Golf 2

Outlaw Golf 2 was not without its shortcomings but there is one thing to take into consideration, and that is the $19.99 price tag! Combine that with the solid gameplay and decent graphics, and any fan of the original should definitely go pick this game up.

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

Mario Golf is just a solid golf title for the Cube that doesn’t do anything wrong but fails to do anything to make it a for sure buy title. I would probably say this would be a perfect rental title, because once you have had it for a rental period you would have already beaten the tournament mode and have played through most of what the game has to offer.
