Halo Wars 2 Review

Halo Wars 2 is not without its flaws. It doesn't have the depth of other RTS's, but it does control surprisingly well and multiplayer options are abundant. There may not be much lasting appeal for hardcore players, but it is certainly fun in the moment, especially for console players that aren't too familiar with the genre.

Halo 5: Guardians obviously isn’t meant to be played for its by the numbers campaign. If your love for Halo falls strictly within the realm of its multiplayer, then prepare yourself for a grand old time.

It has been over a decade since the Halo: Combat Evolved game graced the original Xbox platform and revolutionised console first person shooters forever. Halo 4, doesn’t revolutionise the genre like the original did. This isn’t a bad thing, as Halo’s tried and tested formula still excites, even if you’ve ridden this roller coaster before.

Couple that with the fact that the multiplayer doesn’t quite emulate the feel of the original Halo and you’re left with a game that is likely to disappoint many longtime fans. Still, the singleplayer should be experienced by those who haven’t yet and the multiplayer isn’t bad. It’s just not Halo: Combat Evolved’s.
