Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus Review

Pac-Man is one of gaming’s most notable icons, best known for his original 1980 arcade game. Though Pac-Man has branched out to other genres, he has shone brightest in games that expand upon the old formula. Bandai Namco’s Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is the latest update, hosting a fast-paced score attack mode and new two-player co-op.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus Review

Capsized

For a game built on such a solid mix of exploration and combat, to have both systems feel so broken is almost criminal, especially when a different, better version of the same game exists on another platform. Are any of the problems game breaking? That's kind of up to you to decide. I can tell you, having previously experienced the absolute magic that this game can be, this version is just not worth the time. Maybe for someone who hasn't played the PC version, if all they have is an Xbox, if that is their only choice to play it, maybe it's good enough. But if you have the choice, pick up the original on Steam.

Soul Calibur V

Namco was desperate to get in on the fighting game revival and rushed this out.  I expect better from this series and with so many fantastic and cheaper fighting games out, such as King of Fighters XIII, Mortal Kombat 9, and even Soul Calibur IV, I cannot recommend the game to anyone but the most hardcore of Soul Calibur fans.
