Poker Night 2

If you like poker and just want to fold some 2’s and 7’s there are definitely better games for you out there already. But if you’re a fan of Telltale’s witty, concise writing and want something relaxing to kill a night with, this small but stout collection of one-liners has just enough game round it to justify parting with a couple of dollars.

World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions

You basically are getting what you are paying for with World Series of Poker, which is both a good and bad statement. On one hand, the game does lack its own unique feel, but on the other you are getting a working poker game that has great online play and so-so offline play. Fans of poker should really think about renting this game, as I think that will be plenty of time to get in your poker fix.

The game will work for anyone who just wants to play some tournament-style poker, but for those who were hoping 2K Sports would come out with an original poker title, you won’t find it in World Poker Tour.

World Series of Poker

I had high hopes for this game that I almost immediately saw go by the waste side after playing this game. It is not that World Series of Poker is necessarily the worst game ever, as the actual poker in the game is not that bad. But with this pretty dismal presentation and the lack of a worthwhile career mode, it would be hard to do anything but designate this as a rent-only title that will only appeal to hardcore poker fans.
