GRIP: Combat Racing Review

In short, GRIP’s gameplay is a mix of Wipeout and Mario Kart, seeing racers competing against each other on rapidly-changing tracks that can go suddenly vertical, all the while attempting to hit speed boosts and collect power-ups and weapons to best fellow competitors.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Review

Not only does it exemplify the Switch’s capacity for multiplayer, its beautiful visuals, exhilarating races and excellent new Battle Mode make for the best Mario Kart yet. If you missed out on the chance to experience the game on the Wii U, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a no-brainer.

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Review

With a decent number of modes and a solid core gameplay system, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia has the opportunity to surprise a lot of people. While it has some rough edges like its trick system not being easy to utilize and some issues at the start of races with overall chaos, I found myself having a lot of fun with the game more often than not and I’ll probably be heading back into the game to continue beating my best times and shaving that last second off wherever I can.

Forza Horizon 3

Forza Horizon 3 is an absolute masterpiece. You’ll be hard pressed to find an open-world racing game that is this visually stunning, sounds this phenomenal, has this much content, and most importantly; this fun to play.

Forza Horizon 3

Jet Car Stunts

Jet Car Stunts is not a bad game. The visuals, while a little sparse and bland on a big screen, are still crisp and vibrant. The gameplay, while loose, can be very enjoyable. The biggest problem (glitches and camera problems notwithstanding) is that it seems like the wrong game was remade. JCS would be a fine game if a far superior version hadn’t already existed since 2013. It’s a shame that JCS2 wasn’t remade or its improvements and expansions somehow included in the remake. As it stands, Jet Car Stunts is a slightly glitchy port of a mediocre game.

Forza Horizon 2

Forza Horizon 2 has raised the bar for open-world racing games. The beautiful setting and sensational visuals are one thing, but when you mix it in with heart-pounding races, an extensive car list, intense competitive online play, and a vast explorable world, it all translates to Horizon 2 being the cream of the crop in the genre and the best in its class.

Forza Horizon

Forza Horizon is not simply a great racing game; it’s a great game in general. From the handling to the visuals and sound, from the tweaking to the reward system, Horizon has everything it needs to be an enjoyable time. It may lack the challenge and depth that fans of the core Forza series know and love but if you've admired the Forza Motorsport games from a distance (like me) then do yourself a favor and play this amazing game.

GripShift

In the long run GripShift, is a game that has some rough edges with the main mode feels sort of dry and missing some key areas that would have made it a much better game. Unless you absolutely must be racing on your PSP, this game can be left as strictly a rental at best.

MotoGP 3: Ultimate Racing Technology

If you have or have not purchased MotoGP 2, it really doesn’t matter because if you are a racing fan I would have to recommend to run out and purchase this game. If simulation racing is not your forte, we would suggest that you rent this game, because it’s a solid racer with gives an entertaining motorcycle racing experience.

NASCAR 06: Total Team Control

NASCAR 06 was one of the few games this year that really stood out in my mind of going for more then they had to, and that is once again what I respect about this game. With that being said NASCAR 06 does have some bugs to work out and some more depth to add to the game to really make it the full package, but you can truly see the full potential in this game. If you are a NASCAR fan, then you truly will enjoy the team control that you can find in this game.

If you are a fan of the Wipeout series or you are just a racing fan in general and looking for a game for your PSP, I would highly recommend picking up Wipeout Pure. It is by far one of the best launch titles out for the PSP and really in my opinion brings back to life the Wipeout series.

The game offers plenty of game modes, including Live support, solid simulation style gameplay, and average graphics, you have an impressive game when it comes to IndyCar Series 2005 one that is definitely worth every dollar.

Project Gotham Racing 2

PGR2 fixes almost all of the problems that plagued original, and even manages to improve upon everything else. If you are looking for a top-notch racing title for your Xbox, look no further then PGR2, a great looking/playing arcade style racer.

If you’re looking for a new racing game for your game library you should definitely consider picking up Midnight Club 2. The addictive gameplay is one that will stay fun for a long period of time. Midnight Club II

Pro Race Driver

After already being released on both the PS2 and PC, there have been quite a few improvements to this Xbox port. The graphics are probably the most noticeable, but overall the career modes structure really kept me back from giving the game a higher rating. If you are looking for a racer for your Xbox you should definitely consider Pro Race Driver.
