The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Episode 4 Review

All that aside, I feel like as an ending for the franchise, as an end to Clementine’s story, we’ve gone out as well as it could have. This is The Walking Dead, after all, so any hope we are left with is automatically tempered against the death and despair of the world, and the fact that we are, as we always have been, the true walkers in a dead world.  But for an ending, I think one will do.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Episode 2 Review

This is surprisingly more difficult to write than it was supposed to be. When I received the review code for the second episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season at the beginning of last week, there were still two more episodes left, and everyone working at Telltale Games still worked there. Fast forward to one week later, and we find massive layoffs at Telltale Games, The Final Season pulled from digital storefronts, and no end in sight for Clementine.

The Walking Dead A New Frontier - Episode 4: Thicker Than Water

Thicker Than Water was a good episode in a season that ranks only slightly below the original, and the only thing left for the team now is to wrap up what they started. Will Javier and co. survive? Will Richmond? We’ll just have to wait to find out.

The Walking Dead A New Frontier - Episode 3: Above the Law

Where the next episode goes from here is anyone’s guess, but there is absolutely a showdown brewing in Richmond, and misery is sure to be included in the aftermath. Rather than looking forward to any kind of conclusion to the main plot, the smaller subplots revolving around family are what have kept me thinking about the future of the season. I just hope that, given how quick the tide can come in during the closing episodes, that this family is strong enough to endure what comes.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Parts 1 and 2 Review

Given where Episode 2 leaves us, I am truly looking forward to see where A New Frontier goes. Javier is a charming character with a deep backstory, and they way his family is introduced throughout the past and present leads to an immediate investment in his future. Add in some shady actions on Clementine’s part, as well as the overwhelming desire to keep her around, and I feel that TWD is back on the right track. Telltale continues to impress.

The Walking Dead: Michonne - Episode 3: What We Deserve

Much like the classic storybook wanderer, The Walking Dead: Michonne ends up just like its titular heroine, a little battered, more then a little bruised, and with a little less closure then she was hoping for. Sure she saved the town. Sure the big bad may be defeated.

The Walking Dead: Michonne - Episode 1: In Too Deep

With improvements coming through graphically, and the story telling showing strong against the quickened pace of a half season, this small package has a lot going for it. Here's hoping that it continues.

The Walking Dead: Season Two Episode 1 - All That Remains

As part of a whole season, “All That Remains” establishes a foundation that could lead to some interesting places over the course of the next four episodes. What it does not do is inspire unwavering confidence that season two will live up to the first.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days

Lightning has struck twice, and the end of 400 days keeps expectations high as we near the Fall release of season 2. Yet, where the original Walking Dead is a fully orchestrated symphony of twisted relationships and nail-biting decisions, 400 days settles to be a collection of chart-topping pop hits.

The Walking Dead Episode 5: No Time Left

If you care about video games as an expressive medium, you need to play this game. It's too important to avoid. If you are sick of zombie stories, you need to play this game. If you hate video games and despise the thought of playing one, you need to play this game.

The Walking Dead Episode 4: Around Every Corner

The Walking Dead delivers a dramatic and emotionally exhausting experience that few, if any, games have achieved. Forming a close bond with the characters over 12 hours of game play makes the countdown clock for each decision even more stressful. As the psyche of each survivor has slowly been reduced to tatters, every choice has positive and negative impacts for all.
