Hitman Sniper Assassin Review

Released as a pre-order bonus for the forthcoming Hitman 2, Hitman Sniper Assassin takes the world’s best assassin, Agent 47, to Austria to crash a wedding party. Perched atop cliffside, he observes the luxury mansion, its garden and wedding guests through the scope of his silenced sniper rifle, biding the time until squeezing the trigger to take out the three targets the contract covers.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is a passable action-RPG for those desperately looking for a dungeon crawler to play with friends but it doesn’t offer much in the way of replayability or unique concepts to really recommend past that.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

Soundtrack aside, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is a comic fan's absolute delight. There is more then enough content and nods within the world and the roster to make the purchase worth it in my eyes. The formula itself may be old, but it never feels dated, and even though the new hub structure can be a bit intimidating and confusing at points, the structure is one that can be iterated off of. I say can be, like there's not going to continue to be a ton of LEGO games in our future. I'm so silly sometimes.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes

Lego Marvel Super Heroes may not only be the best Lego game, but one of the best super hero games. With an insanely large cast of characters and some of the funniest writing I’ve seen this year, Lego Marvel is incredibly entertaining and some of the most fun I’ve had with a game this year. I’ve never played a game that consistently made me feel good as I played it and never left me bored after the ten hour story. This is a game that I just want to keep diving into and absorb as much out of it as I can. I had a feeling I would enjoy this game, and maybe it just came at the right time of the year, but I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. With an industry full of dark and brooding violent games, Lego Marvel Super Heroes is an amazing palette cleanser and an extremely fun time.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is surprisingly a lot of fun. I wasn’t really expecting to like this game very much and wound up being pleasantly surprised. If you have a Vita then Batman is honestly a game worth adding to your library. It has great combat for a handheld, interesting and challenging puzzles, and is just an overall enjoyable experience. It’s not a game that’s meant to blow your mind and has some flaws in its execution but it’s meant to entertain and it certainly does that. Blackgate should be a good time for anyone willing to pick it up as long as you can look past some speed bumps.

Batman: Arkham Origins

It's often said that the devil is in the details, and it's a real shame that red bastard was allowed to run roughshod all over this release. While still a good game, it remains overshadowed by those previous entries. Rocksteady got right all the little things that WB Montreal seemed to miss. The flaws won't stop me from trying to continue to enjoy the game as much as I have those other entries, but they do leave a lingering thought, one I can't even believe I am capable of having: we would have been better served waiting for another entry in the series.
