Deliver Us The Moon: Fortuna Review
Deliver Us The Moon: Fortuna is an ambitious story-driven game from a small studio that tries to do more than most other games in the genre. It’s sad that this ambition is stifled by a lack of polish, poor writing, and a non-existent ending. Despite shooting for the stars, they do not deliver the moon.
Shape of the World Review
Shape of the World is a game that 's all about experience. It can be beaten in a couple of hours, but the driving soundtrack, the feeling of exploration, the fact you feel like you don't know what might be around the next corner, it all adds to something that I found incredibly engaging and propulsive.
Indie games have helped to revive the story-based adventure genre, whether through combat-free “walking simulators” like Dear Esther, puzzling open worlds as in The Witness, or evocative movielike experiences such as Journey. RiME takes pages from each of these games, telling a cinematic tale of a young boy who travels around a small island and solves environmental puzzles.
